What is NutriGrade

NutriGrade is a scoring system to evaluate the quality of evidence (or meta-evidence) of randomized controlled trials and cohort study meta-analyses in nutrition research.


What is meta-evidence/quality of evidence

Defined as the confidence in the estimate


Aim of NutriGrade

NutriGrade aims to assess the meta-evidence of an association/effect between different nutrition factors and outcomes (e.g. hard clinical end points or surrogate markers)


NutriGrade advantages

  • The NutriGrade scoring system has good inter-rater agreement and test-retest reliability
  • The reliability of the total NutriGrade scoring system is excellent
  • Easy to use

  • NutriGrade could be applied by authors of meta-analyses
